Had the ahi tuna and pork belly sisig and both were flavorful and delightful! The pickled red cabbage was tangy and refreshing, and the soft garlic rice added a nice layer of flavor. The tuna was fresh and light. Portion size was great! The seasoned chips came with the meal too. They do not have alcohol yet but you can bring in your own if you want. They hope to get their license soon.

Fantastic food with delicious flavors. ..and presentation. I had the Filipino Pork Steak. Every bit of it...except the bone...was delightful...even the charred edges and minimal fat areas. All that remained after lunch was a clean bone. The rice and cabbage and cucumber slices with a side of vinegar were great. We also had a spicy chicken dish that was delectable. The Uber latte was also good. Really do try this place out. Super casual with great caring service and food. Yes, it is a family run restaurant and is casual and enjoyable non-pretentious. Welcoming and inviting. Kids seemed to like it, too.

This is a very nicely put together restaurant with excellent food, and an unusually welcoming staff. The dishes are varied and of enough complexity of flavor that the restaurant requires several visits just to try them all. The meats have a variety of marinades, and some are smoked on the premises. They even have their own in house made soda. There is no alcohol. The presentation, as the photos show, is quite nice. Many of the dishes are made up to order, so there can be a wait of 15 minutes before the food arrives. The restaurant itself is clean and neat, so do not be put off b the occasionally funky neighborhood.

I follow this spot on social media and have been wanting to check it out. I visited around 130pm on a Friday and I can tell lunch rush was slowly coming to an end. The folks behind the counter were busy but friendly. I chose the pork belly lunch plus a side of coconut milk braised collard greens and an orange Poppi, paid at the counter and found a seat in the back. There was nothing that I disliked about this experience, from the service, to the atmosphere and the food. The meal was phenomenal and so reasonably priced. I would have paid $5 more for it. I liked that the marinated pork belly, the Star, was so seasoned and grilled and everything else on the plate could be simple. Red cabbage, rice, egg and pineapple. The collards were cooked down nicely and had a hint of spice. I devoured my plate. I can see when they are busy, service might be a bit slow but you can see them working diligently behind the counter making beautiful plates. I can’t wait to go for dinner to try the sissig!

Absolutely delicious food! I had the Pork Belly Tocino and Ube Longdog. The chef recommended the Ube Longdog and I promise you, it is the BEST “sausage-in-a-bun” type-meal you could ever have. As long as dietary restrictions aren’t an issue, order everything as is and don’t be picky! If you have an open mind, palate, and wish to try something refreshing in STL, please try this place out!!!

Yesterday we had a fantastic meal here. From the beginning you could tell that more than providing food they want to connect with the people who enjoy it. The food was delicious and the presentation was inviting and colorful. You can feel that the owners have poured their heart and soul into this. Next time you get a chance you should def stop by for some food and drinks

I went outside my comfort zone when I was really hungry and I am glad I did. As soon as you walk in, you are met with a wonderful aroma of spices. I tried the recommended chicken dish that's on the menu and it was very good. I was pleasantly surprised with it all and would highly recommend.

Parking: Limited (On-Street) Customer Service: Great Cleanliness: Good Quality of Food: AMAZING! Ambiance: Family-Feel __________ I have eaten Fattened Caf. food before, but I was never able to visit their location and eat there on site. This was my first time going there, and I can honestly say that it was an amazing and delicious experience. My group enjoyed the Kamayan buffet, which included an assortment of ingredients: Polish sausage, chicken, cucumbers, rice, cabbage, corn, edible flowers, and more. The BBQ Sauce is *chef's kiss* When your group does the Kamayan buffet, you and your group are tasked with setting the table. Setting the table looks like putting the food directly on the table, no utensils necessary. The owner, Darren, shared some cool background knowledge about the business and the etiquette for eating the buffet. You grab the food with your left hand and then eat with your right to maintain group sanitation. Amazing experience! I highly recommend the buffet or just grabbing a quick bite to eat.
